I'm through with love...I mean poker

I'm taking this opportunity to announce my retirement from the friendly poker game. I no longer have the money to lose, and I expect to have much less in the near future. You shouldn't play unless you can afford to loose, and given my record at loosing...

Tonight it was a king high flush that out drew my straight.

Scott was invited a few times to play poker with this group of guys here in SC. But after the second time he figured they weren't really inviting him because they enjoyed his company so much as they knew he would supply them with an extra $20.

He stopped going. :)

not like i'm a pro or anything, i don't care all that much for home games most of the time. people play far too many hands that they shouldn't play. people get crazy lucky river cards and win hands that they should've folded on the flop, but they're still in the hand because the bets are small. people play a lot different when you're having to bet even $2 a round, let alone some bigger stakes.

i mean, i'll still play a home game, and wouldn't mind playing regularly just for shits and giggles and a little cash, but i don't get too excited.
