Generally, I'll save images to my hard drive and then insert that image into my post as I would with any other picture I post. It's just easier that way and then I'm hosting the picture on Google's server rather than the originator.
i go with their code. which, generally produces a bit of overlap on my sidebar.
but, i also like using their code because it includes and auto link to them, and i think a trackback so they know people are using it.
